Enjoy the curves and colors around Mercer Island before the rainy season.  Since there are no restrooms at the start, there will be a restroom and water stop at Gene Coulon Park (mile 2.2).  We'll continue north on the Lake Washington Bike Loop Trail up to the Mercer Slough. There is an optional rest stop at Enatai Beach Park (mile 8.9) if needed.  We will ride over the East Channel bridge on the I-90 Bike Lane and regroup.  The first time around we'll cruise Mercer Island clockwise.  Lunch stop (mile 21.4) is at Metropolitan Market (see link below).   After lunch, we reverse the route back around Mercer Island loop counter-clockwise to the I-90 trail.  We will start each Mercer Island loop together but climb and coast the curves and rollers in our own comfort zone.  Then it's back over Lake Washington and down the east side of the lake to Renton.  We should get back about 3 pm.

Start: Let's meet in the Renton Stadium South Parking Lot and please be ready to ride at 10:00 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

What to bring:  Supplies and tools to fix a flat, cell phone in case you cannot finish, water bottles, and pocket snacks.

Restrooms: Gene Coulon Park (2 miles), Aubrey Davis Park (20), Lunch (21), Gene Coulon Park (40)

Cue sheet: If you would like a cue sheet and map, please print one from the Route Link below.

Cancelation: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location."

Contact: You can use the comment section below, but texts to my cell phone 509-203-5772 will usually get a quicker response.

It is raining here now and rain is predicted throughout the day, so the ride will be canceled and rescheduled on a later date.
