Let's meet at Tibbetts Valley Skate Park. Be there, ready to go at the time listed above. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

This will be a pleasant ride around Lake Sammamish, which will include the recently opened East Lake Sammamish Trail! This will be officially opened on Saturday, and will be available for riding! Nice alternative to riding on the shoulder/bike lane of East Lake Sammamish Parkway!

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup at the top of hills. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 MPH, occasionally 10 MPH).

There is a portapotty available at the start. However, there are stores nearby such as Target and Panera, if you need to use facilities prior to beginning.  We will stop along the way for restrooms/water at miles 13.3, and optional at Gilman Village (mile 1). We’ll also stop for coffee/snacks at Peets Coffee or Whole Foods at mile 11.8.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is cancelled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.

We hope you can join us!

Comments

Greetings All,

This is also the weekend of Issaquah Salmon Days! Yay! No route conflicts with our ride. BUT - Unless you need to "rush" back home, our start at the Tibbetts Field Skate Park is about a Mile from the Events, and if you have a "few minutes" - or an hour or so - you might consider staying a while! They have a Salmon Bake, Live Music, Craft Beer, and for folks who appreciate Canine Entertainment, they have a Dog Dock, where they are doing some Agility Exhibitions with "long jumping" and high flying doggos! Just an FYI. I might check it out, before riding home! Thanks.
