Join us for a ride from Renton on a 37 mile route at Steady Pace (12-14 mph).

We will start from the parking lot at Ron Regis Park and ride up the Cedar River Trail to Dorre Don.  Then we'll cross the Cedar River on an old railroad bridge and have a group photo op.  Then there are two 1/4 mile sections of packed gravel on the Cedar River Trail. The lunch stop is at 4 Corners Panera Bread (see menu link below).  After lunch the route meanders through neighborhoods (and a third 1/4 mile section of a road that is packed gravel) over to Lake Meridian where we pick up the Soos Creek Trail.  There is a short pitch up a 5% grade but we will wait for everyone at the top.  Just before the end there is a mile-long descent with up to a 9% grade on 140th Ave SE.  We expect to be back at the start about 2:30 pm.

Let's meet at Ron Regis Park and please be ready to ride at 10:00 am. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  If you miss the briefing you will not be able to ride with the group.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and our goal will be to stay together. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum.

Restrooms are available at the start. We will stop for Lunch at Panera Bread at mile 14.8   There will be one restrooms/water stop after lunch at mile 29.7.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancelation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will post a ride-canceled note in the Comments section below at least two hours prior to the start and Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location.

We hope you can join us!
