Registration for this ride will close on Saturday, October 28, at 7:30 am

Let's meet at the north end of Ash Way Park & Ride. Be there, ready to go at 9:30 a.m. We will start with a required safety briefing, and roll out when that's done.  All riders must attend the safety briefing to participate.

This route goes through some interesting areas and has a fair bit of climbing, including some longer climbs and several steep pitches packed into 32 miles. Please, check the route profile via the link below to be sure it matches your abilities.

We will climb and descend hills at our own pace, and we will regroup occasionally. We'll also limit our speed on any multi-use paths to the legal maximum (usually 15 mph, occasionally 10 mph).

Restrooms and water are not available at the start. We will stop at the new Kenmore paddle park at mile point 9.1 for those who might need a restroom. A drinking fountain at the park was still working, but it is best to come to the start with enough water/hydration mix to get you through the full ride.

Bring a spare tube and tools to fix a flat, just in case. Other things to bring: phone; ID; cash and/or credit card; ORCA card; water and a small snack. Please have full fenders if the roads are wet, or you may be asked to ride at the rear of the group.

Note: If weather conditions meet the weather cancellation criterion listed above or if there are unforeseen hazardous riding conditions or other unexpected events, the Ride Leader will cancel the ride and all registered riders will be sent a notification email. If the ride is canceled at least two hours before the start, Ride Leader(s) will not be at the start location. Please check before leaving for the ride.

Comments

I made some changes in the route at 3:30 p.m. Thursday. Be sure you have the latest version for your GPS or cue sheet. Also, I've moved the bathroom stop to the new TL' awh-ah-dees park (Kenmore's paddle park) at 9.1 miles because the restrooms are new and a water fountain was still working as of Thursday.
