Spokane Bike Talk Happy Hour

Event date:
Sunday, October 9, 2016 - 6:00pm

with Cascade Bicycle Club and Washington Bikes

Come for the Happy Hour, stay for the Bike Talk! It’s a chance to connect and an excuse to get together and talk bikes at the local and state level.

Come connect with your statewide bike organizations Sunday, Oct. 9 with Barb Chamberlain (Chief Strategic Officer); Tarrell Kullaway (Senior Director of Membership & Development), and Ed Ewing (Director of the Major Taylor Project).

You’ll get a brief overview of the merger of Washington Bikes and Cascade Bicycle Club and how both now work statewide with new roles. Learn a bit about Cascade's statewide work in bike education, school-based youth programming, and the Major Taylor Project and how the role of endorsing political candidates moved from Cascade to WA Bikes.

Local bike leaders will share updates on projects and programs. We’ll celebrate the wins (like state funding that extended the Centennial Trail) and talk about what’s needed to grow and improve bicycling for all.
